Flip Flop Divers

Bubblemaker                                                                                                                       

Duration: 2 hrs / 1 day depending on option         

Requirements:

  • minimum age of 8 years

  • completion of medical questionnaire and bubblemaker statement by parent/guardian

  • good health

 

Kids can learn to dive too!

Under supervision of an instructor practise swimming underwater with scuba gear, experience your first breaths in shallow water (maximum depth 2m) and have lots of fun!

 

Choose between a pool dive only or a pool & boat dive! 

 

Discover Scuba Dive                                                                                                          

Duration: 2 hrs / 1 day depending on option 

Requirements:

  • minimum age of 10 years

  • completion of medical questionnaire 

  • good health

 

Your introduction to scuba diving! Learn the basic guidelines, skills and explore the underwater world under supervision of an instructor (maximum depth 12m)

 

Choose between a pool dive only or a pool & boat dive!

Open Water Diver                                                                                                                                                          

Duration: 3 - 4 days  

Requirements:

  • minimum age of 10 years (10 to 14 years old will gain a Junior Open Water certificate)

  • completion of medical questionnaire 

  • good health

  • able to swim

 

Get your scuba diving certification with the Open Water course! Gain a lifelong licence to dive anywhere in the world up to 18 m (12 m for Junior Open Water) !

The PADI Open water course consists of Knowledge Development, confined water dives (pool) to gain essential skills and 4 open water dives.

 

The price includes all learning material, pool sessions, 4 open water dives, certification, equipment rental, transfer to and from your resort, breakfast, lunch and drinks on the boat.

 

Advanced Open Water Diver                                                                                                                                          

Duration:  2 days  

Requirements:

  • minimum age of 12 years 

  • Open Water Diver certified (or equivalent from another dive organisation)

 

Ready to take it up to the next level? Extend your knowledge and skills and get certified to dive to 30 m with the Advanced Open Water!

 

This course consists of 5 Adventure dives. You will have to do a Deep and Underwater Navigation dive in order to qualify as Advanced Open Water. The remaining 3 dives are totally up to you and you can choose from:

 

Adventure Dives available to divers 12 years and older:

  • AWARE-Fish Identification

  • Underwater Naturalist

  • Boat Diver

  • Underwater Navigator

  • Peak Performance Buoyancy

  • Underwater Photography

Rescue Diver & Emergency First Responder (EFR)                                                                                                    

Duration:  6 days  

Requirements:

  • minimum age of 12 years 

  • minimum Adventure Diver with Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive or Advanced Open Water Diver certified (or equivalent from another dive organisation)

 

The most challenging and rewarding course! 

Learn how to prevent and manage problems, perform rescues, manage diving accident situations and perform

first aid.

 

This course prepares you to deal with dive emergencies using a variety of techniques. Learn how to look for and how to respond through knowledge development and rescue exercises.

 

Practice your knowledge and skills during rescue scenarios. Topics include:

 

  • Self rescue 

  • Recognizing and managing stress in other divers 

  • Emergency management and equipment

  • Rescuing panicked divers 

  • Rescuing unresponsive divers 

  • Helping a tired diver 

  • Response from the shore or a boat 

  • Rescuing distressed diver under the water 

  • Organizing and participating in the research of Missing diver 

  • Rescuing and surfacing the Unconscious Diver 

  • Rescuing unconscious Diver at the Surface 

  • Exit an unconscious Diver from the water  

  • First Aid for Pressure-Related Accidents

 

You will be a more confident diver and able to look after the safety and well-being of other divers.

 

In case you hold an Emergency First Responder certification (CPR and First Aid) from the past 24 months, let us know and you can start straight away with the Rescue Course.

 

The price includes all learning material, open water dives, pool scenarios, certification, equipment rental, transfer to and from your resort, breakfast, lunch and drinks on the boat.

Divemaster                                                                                                                                                      

Duration: minimum 4 weeks 

Requirements:

  • minimum age of 18 years 

  • minimum of 40 logged dives

  • must be PADI Rescue Diver (or equivalent)

  • must hold EFR/CPR certification within the past 24 months

  • must be fit for diving and provide a medical statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months

The Divemaster course is your first level of professional training. Working closely with an Instructor, you’ll fine-tune your dive skills, like perfecting the effortless hover, and refine your rescue skills so you anticipate and easily solve common problems. You’ll gain dive knowledge, management and supervision abilities so you become a role model to divers everywhere. 

 

The Divemaster course teaches you to be a leader and take charge of dive activities. Through knowledge development sessions, waterskills exercises and workshops, and hands-on practical assessment, you develop the skills to organize and direct a variety of scuba diving activities. Topics and practical workshops include:

 

  • The role and characteristics of the PADI Divemaster

  • Supervising dive activities and assisting with student divers

  • Diver safety and risk management

  • Divemaster conducted programs and specialized skills

  • Business of diving and your career

  • Awareness of the dive environment

  • Dive setup and management

  • Mapping an open water site

  • Conducting dive briefings

  • Organizing a search and recovery project and a deep dive

  • Conducting a scuba review and skin diver course

  • Assisting with Discover Scuba Diving and leading Discover Local Diving programs

 

The course can be completed in as little as 4 weeks; however, with longer Divemaster course, it will be better for you in terms of hands-on experience and personal confidence building.
 

The Divemaster course is divided into three main modules. You must complete all three modules to a reasonable level of proficiency before you may become a Divemaster.

1. Knowledge Development Module 
2. Water Skills Development Module 
3. Practical Application Module

The Knowledge Development Module establishes the foundation candidates need as professional-level divers and for continuing on to the PADI Assistant Instructor and Instructor levels. Much of what is learned in the Knowledge module is applied in the other 2 modules.

The Water Skills Module develops candidate skill to the role model level appropriate for demonstrating to student divers and to prepare for higher training levels.

In the Practical Application Module, candidates put into practice skills typical of a Divemaster. There are 5 Practical Skills Exercises and 5 Divemaster Conducted Program Workshops.

1. Dive Site Set Up and Management

2. Mapping Project

3. Dive Briefing

4. Search & Recovery Scenario

5. Deep Dive Scenario

The 5 Divemaster Conducted Program Workshops are:
1. Scuba Review in confined water

2. Skin Diver & Snorkeling Supervision

3. Discover Scuba Diving in confined water

4. Discover Scuba Diving additional open water dive

5. Discover Local Diving in open water
